I'm a straight shooter. That's what makes this blog different from the fake fantasy blogs that are all over the place. This is the Real Fantasy Blog. TM.
Ha. Fantasy blogging. Sounds like something your grandma would smack you for doing. But what does grandma know?
Anyway, I wanted to do this blog because I'm somewhat obsessed with fantasy baseball at the moment. But then I thought, what do I have to offer? I don't have any big shot contacts in the baseball biz. The nearest major league team is over 3.5 hours away, and it's the Kansas City Royals. I don't even have a baseball card from the last 15 years.
So I won't offer anything new. You heard me. This blog will offer nothing you can't get somewhere else, aside from my own brand of witty commentary. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to go cut and paste stuff from other blogs. Heck no. I'll try and dig into more obscure stats and sabermetrics and the meaning of life and all that, but in the end I'll just analyze the same players, the same teams, and the same stats as everyone else. And you know what? You'll like it.
Because that's the joy of fantasy baseball. You can read three million bits on Matt Holliday, each saying essentially the same thing, and it's still a choice way to waste time.
So lets get this show on the road.
